Mistakes to Avoid

  • Exfoliating to often - exfoliating once a week is a good balance that prevents any tears or breakage to the skin as a result of over exfoliating.
  • Rubbing to harshly and cutting to deep into the skin.
  • Make sure to moisturize the body in addition to the exfoliating routine to maintain the skin’s moisture barrier.
  • Don't forget to mix water with scrub for a smoothier application.

Physical Exfoliation

  • Exfoliating using items like a loofah, dry brush, and scrubs that use salt,sugar, or coconut shells to physically loosen dead skin cells.
  • Make sure to not rub to harshly when using physical exfoliation.

Chemical Exfoliation

  • Uses AHAs and BHAs to exfoliate skin which comes in the form of body washes and body moisturizers
  • Be careful when using these ingredients during the daytime as they can increase likelihood for sun damage.
