WINTER
For the winter seasons, I like to style long skirts with chunky sweaters. This sweater is a 1990s vintage Harley Davidson, the skirt is upcycled from vintage linen materials and the purse is a Loius Vuitton from the 1990s. A tip to make the masuline feel of heavy sweater more feminie is to pair things like this with a skirt. This is a common hack I use almost daily.
SPRING
For spring, I love to use bright colors and often floral prints. Here I focused on bringing out the yellows in the outfit. I paired a 1996 floral Tweety Bird shirt with a pair of 1990s embroidered Tweety Bird shorts. To really tie this bright outfit together I added a yellow smiley face bag. Often in the vintage community people collect certain brand items, I collect Tweety Bird pieces and it makes putting an outfit together much easier because all the pieces from the brand are typically cohesive.
SUMMER
In the summer, I like to opt for outfits to keep me cool. Here I chose a petite 1990s Harley Davidson tank top with lace accents. I paired it with a vintage dark silver mini skirt to match the feather details on the tank. The lace and feather accents on the tank make the outfit feel a bit western so I completed the fit with a pair of brown cowboy boots. When dealing with items that have small pops of color, a tip of advice is to add more of that color to accentuate it.
FALL
In the fall I like to choose certain colors to include in my wardrobe. One of my favorites is dark brown. Here I styled a pair of custom patchwork double-knee Carhartt pants with a 1970s forest green t-shirt. To bring out some of the colors in the pathces of the pants, I added an early 2000s bottlecap belt. When shopping for vintage, a tip is to look for unique peices that can help make a simple outfit pop.
